Abstract

23,266. Muggia, A. Feb. 21, [Convention date]. Mosaic slabs &c. -A mosaic composed of fragments of painted glass is obtained by painting the desired design on a sheet of glass, the painted layer 2 being subsequently covered with a layer 3 of a mixture of caoutchouc, oil, and coloured earths which is dried at 80‹ C. A layer 4 of cement, oil, glue, and a waterproof varnish is then applied and dried. The sheet of glass is then cut up into regular fragments 1 and the design is re-constituted by applying the fragments, design side downwards, on a wall surface 5 or metal plates, reinforced-concrete slabs, &c.
