Hinges readily separable about hinge pin; joint pins.-Relates to a joint or coupling for attaching side-cars to motor-cycles, of the kind in which a slidable pin B, carried by the forked end E of one member and controlled by a spring G disposed between the forked member and a head C screwed upon the pin, has a larger portion A to extend through one limb of the fork and engage the enlarged inner end of a slot L at the end of a lug D upon the other member. According to the present invention, the part A is arranged to extend through one side of the fork, across the gap, and partly through the other side as shown at E<1>, and the bearing-surface of the pin is increased by a boss H formed on the side of the fork. The boss H and a boss J upon the head C prevent displacement of the spring.
