Couplings, non-auto matic.-In a D-shackle for colliery trams, th pin b is formed with an oblique hole d extend ing from its head to beneath the eye of the upper limb of the D and a pin f loosely fitting in the hole normally protrudes beneath the edge of the shackle eye and so prevents the pin b from being jerked upwardly. The pin f is formed with an eye f' through which and through an elongated hole b<2> in the head of the pin b passes a lifting- ring g. To prevent the link c from pushing the pin f upwardly, a boss or ring e is formed on the upper limb of the shackle.
