Abstract

21,629. Barnes, J. Oct. 2. Curtains, drawing and suspending.-Relates to pulley fittings for the operating-cords of curtain-rings running on grooved cornice-poles, and consists in forming the frames of sheet metal as follows. The frame of the two-sheaf pulley is formed from a cross - shaped blank, two arms 3 of which form fixing-lugs, and two, 5, are turned up to carry the spindle 7. Four apertures 9 are formed in the central portion, but the metal from two of them is bent up at 11 and serves to separate the two sheaves 8. The frame for the single-sheaf pulley consists of two circular portions 14 connected by a neck 17 which is pivoted to a fixing-plate 21 or directly secured to the pole.
