Abstract
16,535. Gibbons, W. J. July 29. Curtains, drawing and suspending.-The ends of a cornice-pole ring are united without the aid of solder by means of a short socket, Fig. 2, formed from a sheet-metal blank with two slots diametrically opposite each other and a small projection. The socket is inserted into the ends of the ring, the projection serving to determine its position, and the metal at the joint is driven down at rightangles into the slots in the socket, Fig. 4. The eye, Fig. 5, is formed with two pairs of ears, one of which enters the slots, while the other fits over the top of the ring.
