Curtains, suspending.-In cornice pole rings of the type formed from a rectangular blank bent first into tubular form and then into a ring, the abuttings ends are secured by a staple 3 having prongs 4 entering holes, one in each end of the tube 1. A ring or saddle-shaped member 6 covers the staple and may be provided with an integral eye, or a separate eye 9 with prongs 7 passing through the outer member and into recesses 8 in the tube. To prevent the edges of the tube from being overlapped, when the ends of the saddle-shaped member 6 are closed in to form the finished ring, the metal near the edge 11 is deformed inwardly as shown.
