Abstract

F l e x i b l e unjointed hinges. - The sides and ends of collapsible boxes are hinged together by pairs of metal strips, one strip 2, Fig. 1, of each pair being secured to the outside of the side 1 and the inside of the end 1<1>, and the other strip 2<1> being secured to the outside of the end and the inside of the side. The outer portions of the strips may be secured outside the battens 4 or between the battens and the boards forming the box ends or sides, and their inner portions may be provided with tangs to secure them in place.
