Abstract

19,966. Ohly, C. H. Sept. 7, 1910, [Convention date]. Necktie-retainers. -A necktie-retainer comprises a frame 1 made of wire and having a closed loop 3 on which the tie is knotted, the wire then forming lateral loops 2 and finally being brought together and twisted at 7 to form an inner extension 4 carrying the attaching- means. The attaching-means comprises a socket 8, Fig. 3, having a tubular neck 9 and flange 11. A leather tab 12 forming a finger-piece 13 for removing the tie is carried by the neck 9 which is embraced by the ends of the wire 4, this being clamped between the flange 11 and the head of the socket. For a ready-made neck-tie, the socket with its finger-piece is attached to the cardboard frame and exposed at the back. Two sockets on one tab are used so as to make the tie adjustable for high and low collars.
