Abstract
19,115. Wall, E. A. Aug. 25. Actuating by wave mills; single - acting piston pumps; regulating delivery by admission of air.-A wave-motor consists of a reciprocating head D<2> formed of one or more buckets d<2> of triangular shape connected to one or more pumps C. The pumps are mounted on a float formed with an inclined front part provided with antifriction rollers b<1>, on which the bucket head reciprocates. Springs d<4> cushion the buckets. The pumps are each arranged to pump either water or air, and are provided with a valve casing F, Fig. 3, with water-inlet valve g, air-inlet valve h, and the delivery valve f. Cocks g<1>, h<1> are provided to cut off either the water or air supply. In order to throw any pump out of action, each is provided with a lever h<1> by which the air-inlet valve may be held open.
