Abstract

9231. Ayers, E. L. April 13. Actuating by wave mills.-A submerged body 4 with upwardly opening valves 6 for allowing the body to sink freely but to resist upward motion is attached to a float 20 on a rod 10 working pumps 13 carried by a floating body 2 which rises and falls on the waves. Fig. 3 shows a modified form of valvular submerged body.
