Abstract

18,980. Carr, J. D. Aug. 24. Contents, delivering. -Boxes for polishes, pastes, &c., with removable tight - fitting lids, are formed with a cut - out portion 5 at the edge of the lid and with a bead 4 at or near the top to facilitate opening. Pressure is applied to the body at a point 6 opposite the opening 5, and to facilitate this a projection or recess may be formed there. A bead 2 may be employed on the body to determine the position of the lid and to afford a grip. A projection or depression at 7 may be used in addition to or instead of the projection or depression at 6, and it may take the form of a bead running right round the body, in which case it may replace the bead.2. A bead 8 may be provided at the lower edge of the body in addition to the bead 2 and in substitution for the projections or depressions at 6, 7, or in combination with either or any of the parts at 2, 6, and 7.
