[Addition to 18,704/10, Class 51(i), Furnaces &c., Combustion apparatus of.] Exhaust, valves for.-In locomotive blastapparatus the additional escape-pipe d into which part of the exhaust may be passed by the valve f, as described in the parent Specification, discharges into an annular chamber a surrounding the blast nozzle, from which chamber the exhaust escapes without creating draught. The chamber may be formed integrally with the nozzle, as shown, or be detachable.
