Roofing. - A watertight joint for a flexible roof-covering is formed by securing battens 14, Fig. 1, of substantial thickness, over the abutting or overlapping edges of the sheets 9, and covering the battens by 'the overlapping edges of additional sheets or strips 8 cemented to the lower sheets. Or the cemented strips may be beneath, and the main sheets overlap, the battens. The roofing-material is supplied with the double edge temporarily connected by folded paper &c. 10, which can be readily severed.
