Stocks and dies. - A screwing-stock is provided with a self-starting arrangement of two different pitches, and has its dies mounted flush with one face. The die a, whether in one piece or adjustable as shown in Fig. 5, has a part cut away to fit an internal flange b<1> on the stock b, against which it is held by the sleeve c secured by set-screws. The tube m or other work has an externally-screwed guide k secured thereon, the guide being adapted to fit one of the threads c<1>, c<2> according to the pitch desired. The stock is rotated by the usual handle f<1> and two-way ratchet g.
