Actuating; valves controlled from a distance. -A stop-valve particularly designed for use in heating-systems is normally held open by a spring and is adapted to be closed by suction or pressure transmitted from a distance or by a local screw actuation. The actuating-piston g moves in a cylinder arranged at right-angles to the axis of the valve and is connected to the valve spindle k by a bell-crank lever h and link i. A screwed spindle p actuated by a handle r is adapted to bear against the piston to close the valve positively.
