Reinforced concrete.-A clip for connecting the metal bars and stirrups of a concrete structure consists of a bent loop A, Fig. 3, stamped on the end of a flat stirrup, or formed by bending and twisting a round rod, and a bridge piece C, which is curved initially but is finally straightened so that the loops grip the main bar. A similar clip is used to connect main bars at right-angles to each other.
