Abstract

12,071. Holloway, L. W. May 19. Laying or guiding ropes on or off during winding or unwinding.-Means for automatically actuating the warp guide carriage c of a winch comprises an endless chain f driven from the winch and connected to the carriage to move it continuously to-and-fro across the warp drum. A pin mounted on a bracket j attached to the chain works in an inclined slot in a block k fixed to the carriage. The pin can thus keep the carriage continuously in motion even while the pin is passing round the chain drum.
