Abstract

7637. Gerhardt, M. March 27. Hook fastenings.-A hook fastening comprises a female part 5 with a straight front edge and having openings 7, and a male part 1 having arms 3, 4 at its front end, of which the arm 3 is bent to form a hook, the other arm 4 being bent twice at right-angles as shown. After the hook-shaped arm 3 is hooked into one of the openings 7, the arm 4 is brought below the part 5 by twisting the material to which the parts are attached. In the modification shown in Fig. 8, the male part is provided with a hook 11 and two projections 12, 13, and after engagement of the hook 11 in an opening 9 of the female part 8, one of the projections 12 is brought below the said part by twisting the material.
