Abstract

4963. Liney, P. L. Feb. 28. Hooks and eyes.-In a flat hook-and-eye fastening, Figs. 1 and 2, the hook comprises a bill a having bulging sides a<2> and attaching-loops c, the bill a being stamped above the portion c a distance equal to the thickness of the wire. The eye b has its engaging portion b' stamped similarly to the hook but in a reverse direction, the width of the eye being such that the bulging sides a<2> prevent accidental disengagement. In a modification, Fig. 4, the hook has one end of the wire extending from a loop c between the bill a and provided with a vertical hump e.
