Rotary machines. - A device for taking proof impressions on fabric from engraved rollers comprises a n impression roller b of papier machÚ, which is driven by changegearing d<1> ... d<5> from the mandrel o for supporting the engraved roller a. T h e mandrel o is driven by wormgear f, e from a belt - driven shaft p. The mandrel o is mounted in a swivelbearing permitting it to be raised to facilitate the insertion of the roller. The piece of fabric on which the impression is to be taken is attached to the roller b by white wax or other adhesive, and the impression roller is raised into contact with the roller a by cams m and weighted lever q. Colour is supplied from a doctor trough n. The operation may be repeated in several colours.
