4452. Narborough, A. P., [trading as Narhorough, F.]. Feb. 22. Examining. - Consists in providing apparatus for viewing the interior of the barrel with a lens or magnifying-device. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the lens e having a focal length of about 13 inches, is mounted in a plate a, which is provided with a hole c for attachment to the projection b of the gun. Projecting-plates f may be provided. When combined with a viewing-apparatus comprising a mirror k, Fig. 3, arranged at 45 degrees, the lens h may be between the barrel and the mirror k, as shown in Fig. 3, or above the mirror.
