Stays. - Relates t o door stays of the type in which limited openings of the door is permitted by the co-operation of a rigid member on the door with a slotted member hinged to the door jamb. The slotted member 8 is arranged to be held in alternative positions, being U - shaped and provided with pins to engage recesses in the supporting-brackets 10, or with notches to receive wedge-like projections on the brackets. The beaded engaging member 1 may have its shank split to give spring engagement; or, for the same purpose, the inner faces of the member 8 may be notched or serrated.
