Direct steam-pressure apparatus, non-automatic.-In apparatus for delivering oil or other liquid by steam pressure wherein the steam also serves to heat the liquid, a space is provided in the lower part of the forcing-chamber for the accumulation of water of condensation approximately equal to half the chamber, and the valves on the steam admission pipe and on the liquid inlet and outlet pipes are controlled by a single hand-lever. The oil enters the chamber B through a sprayer V, which causes rapid condensation of the steam left from the previous discharge. Steam is then admitted from the pipe D, forcing out the oil through the pipe G. The chamber is fitted with an air vent pipe X, a test pipe W for ascertaining whether there is too much condensed water in the bottom of the chamber, an outlet pipe and cock Y for the discharge of condensed water, and a gauge R for measuring the volume of oil delivered. The valves on the various inlet and outlet pipes are controlled by a single lever T. The air vent pipe may be fitted to the steam pipe D which in that case is provided with a three-way valve.
