A float a in the lubricator b carries two vertical rods c provided at their upper ends with non - conducting buttons d, which are encircled by a metal ring e. Chains g suspended from projections f on the ring e carry balls h, which, when the float falls to its lowest position, engage two cups i and complete the circuit of the alarm bell.
