Signalling disagreement of controlling-gear with order telegraphs. -The engine-controlling gear is linked to the plunger rod G which carries an insulating-sleeve I<1> cupporting a metal sleeve I<4> which is in engagement with contact springs C and either D or E according to the position of the controlling-lever. The contacts D, E are connected to contacts A<4>, A<6> with which the telegraph pointer A<1> engages when moved to one side or the other, and are arranged so that the alarm bell H is rung if the controlling-gear is moved in the wrong direction.
