Bedsteads.-A bedstead comprises a rigid supporting-frame C secured to the floor and carrying, by means of bars B sliding in bosses on the frame, a bed frame A, which is thus adapted to be traversed from side to side for bed-making and other purposes. Alternatively, the bars B may be rigidly fixed to the frames C, and the bosses may be fixed on the frames A. Also the lateral motion may be effected by a rack and pinion, and locking-devices may be provided.
