2123. Marshall, J. E. Jan. 27. Mattresses.-A mattress comprises an elastic wire-web or like fabric surface G supported, with free edges extending over the main frame, by springs F on a supplementary frame B carried below the main frame A upon brackets C. The frame A rests on the bedstead, the brackets C engaging also the side bars of the bedstead. The free edges of the mattress may be supported by springs H. The centre portion of the supplementary frame B may be strengthened by auxiliary springs J carried by bars K, L, connected to the side and end bars of the frame B. The mattress may be a folding one, in which case the frames A, B and the fabric G are made in two parts. Specification 607/02 is referred to.
