Shuttles, changing bobbins and the like in, automatically. - When the bobbin is substantially exhausted, a hooked latch 26, carried by the transferrer-arm 16 and connected by a spring 28 and rod 25 to a lever 24 in connexion with the feeler mechanism, remains in the path of a hooked bar 29, adjustably connected to a vertically-moving rod 30 actuated by lever mechanism 31, 33 from a cam on the bottom shaft, the transferrer arm being thus depressed, so that the transferrer 43 transfers a bobbin into the shuttle. The transferrer has yoke-shaped ends pivoted on a stud 42, and-is caused by a spiral spring on the stud 42 to engage a stop 49 screwed to a cylindrical fixed part 13<1> engaging the inner ring of the magazine. As the transferrer is depressed, it is moved outwards by the engagement of a bevel part 43<3> thereof with the stud 49, so as to follow the rearward movement of the lay and enable the bobbin transfer to be effected on the same pick as that on which the weft-exhaustion is detected. The weft-feeler mechanism may comprise a slide 20, which operates, through intermediate connexions, a lever 21 on a shaft carrying the lever 24. The rod 25 abuts against a lug 26<1> on the latch 26. When the weft is not substantially exhausted, the levers 21, 24 and rod 25 are operated to move the latch 26 out of the path of the bar 29.
