Abstract
25,669. Wijnberg, S. Nov. 4. Fats, fatty oils, and waxes, extracting and purifying. - Relates to the process described in Specification 16,148/09, in which fats, oils, and waxes are extracted by means of solvents in a vessel E, and the resulting solution is filtered in a vessel F and is afterwards distilled in a still D, the solvent being condensed in a coil C and returned by a pipe j to the extractor for a further treatment of the raw material. The invention consists in making the vessels E, F entirely separate, in providing a by-pass pipe k leading directly from the extractor E to the still D, and in providing a pipe l, by means of which the vapours, generated in steaming the exhausted filtering-material, are led to the condenser C without passing through the extractor. A number of filters, which may be put in or out of action as required, may be used. Trichlorethylene, ether, benzol, &c. may be used as solvents.
