Brackets for mounting reserve wheels on vehicles.-In a holder or support for mounting a wheel rim upon a motor-car &c., of the type in which tubular arms and bars extending from a common centre are arranged in the same plane, some or all of the bars are adjusted by screws, those not so adjusted being provided with ratchet locking-devices. A central portion c having radial hollow arms d is rotatably mounted upon the base a and can be fixed in any position by the thumb-screw c. A threaded bar f is fitted into each of the arms and engages a nut g rotatably secured to the arm by a screw i on the nut engaging an annular groove in the arm. The bars f are provided with interchangeable shoes k. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, two of the hollow arms m are provided with spring pawls n engaging ratchet arms o.
