Abstract

22,687. Nunn, P. Sept. 30. Shears.-Tailors' shears are provided with a fork - piece carrying a roller to support the shears at the correct angle during the cutting operation. The lower handle b<1> has a forkpiece c made integral therewith or attached in any suitable manner, and a roller g is rotatably mounted in the fork-piece. In a modification, the fork-piece is attached to the usual heel-rest of the shears by means of a clip and screw, the fork-piece being attached to the clip by a swivel-joint like that of a castor.
