Corner joints.-The corners of boxes, cases, and hampers are protected by slats a, b secured to the sides and ends by nails, rivets, &c. g, and extending from the top to the bottom. The slats are bound at intervals with thin iron clips d, the ends e, f of which are doubled back under the slats and are secured by the nails or rivets g, which extend into a corner block h. When the lid has an end ledge, the end slats are shortened to receive the ledge.
