Wheels.-Emery-wheels are constructed with projecting abrading - surfaces with cutting- edges set at angles alternately right and left of the path of travel of the active surface of the wheel. In peripheral grinding- wheels, the abrading-surfaces A, Fig. 2, project from bases D clamped between the halves F of the wheel base. In face-grinders, Fig. 3, the bases from which the angular abrading-blocks B project are clamped to the wheel base H by removable rings E. In wheels of the solid or continuous type, the abrading-surface A, Fig. 9, is constructed as a zigzag line around the active face of the wheel.
