17,053. Arnold, O. C. July 18. String-cutters.-A twine-cutter comprises a standard 1 with a slot 3 preferably upwardly inclined, the top wall of which is bevelled to take the offset portion 6 of the cutter blade which is fixed to the standard by screws 8. A block 9 preferably of the same material as the standard is pivoted on a bolt 11 and pressed against the cutting-edge of the blade by a spring 13. The block is rounded at its forward end so as to guide the twine to the cutter.
