Locking nuts.-In a nut-locking device of the kind in which a split conical ring lies in a recess in the nut and is tapped to fit the bolt, the surface of the ring is curved in profile and the recess in the nut is shaped correspondingly. Fig. II shows the parts in position before screwing up, B indicating the nut and C the ring. Fig. IV shows a modified form in which the ring C is in contact with a separate recessed ring E below an ordinary nut.
