Air tubes and chambers; tyre attachments to rims.-Each member of a sectional elastic tyre is formed with a lower chamber b, and two or more upper chambers c<1>, c<2>, connected by channels d. The chambers contain a mixed air and liquid cushion. The beaded edges are held by strips of channel-iron h, the adjacent ends of which are clamped to the rim by blocks k secured by nuts m. A detachable tread-band o is secured by floating metal rings r<1>, r<2>, which fit over beadings. The rings are secured by transverse bolts s seated in metal blocks u. Circumferential wings of these blocks rest on adjacent members, and a radial wing slides in a slot in the block k. The chambers c', c<2> may be open at the top, and closed by the band o.
