Abstract

14,023. Haber, F. Sept. 13, 1909, [Convention date]. Ammonia.-The catalytic union of nitrogen and hydrogen to form ammonia is effected under a pressure of 100 atmospheres, or higher pressures. The ammonia may, by the application of cold, be separated in liquid form. Finelydivided uranium or osmium, or even iron, may be used as the catalytic material. The process described in Specification 17,951/09 is disclaimed.
