12,903. Gunner, C. E. Nov. 29, 1909. Bolts; screw sockets.-Screws for holding the lids of conduit-boxes &c. are made with a plain part A, Fig. 2, between the head and the threaded shank F. The hole in the lid is tapped, as shown at D, to fit the screw, so that this does not fall out when the lid is removed. Fig. 5 shows the device applied to a ceiling rose j of porcelain, in which case a suitable tapped sleeve k is fixed in a hole in the base, the porcelain itself not being tapped. Fig. 6 shows the form adopted when a fixing-screw 2 is to be insulated from the article fixed by means of an insulating-sleeve 3.
