Abstract
10,676. Esparza, R. April 30. Posts. - Telegraph and like poles are constructed in hollow reinforced concrete by securing uprights a ... a<IV> to top and bottom rings A of different dimensions, and then winding a spiral b round the entire structure; this wire b is lapped once round each upright as indicated and then a series of secondary spirals c ... c<III> is superposed. The wires of this secondary series are also lapped round each upright, and the spirals are wound in opposite directions. The skeleton being completed, it is embedded in concrete by placing a wooden or other core inside the framework, placing the whole in a mould, pouring in cement, concrete, or the like and subjecting to pressure. A metal extension for carrying insulators may project from and be secured in the hollow centre of the pcle.
