9836. Gessner, F. April 22. Types, securing on carriers.-Detachable typeblocks for type-levers are provided with resilient lugs having bevelled catches adapted to snap over sharp edges on the type-lever. Fig. 2 shows a type-block provided at both ends with resilient lugs h and catches d. Fig. 1 shows the corresponding type-lever formed with a transverse head c having reduced square ends b. In a modification, the type-block has central resilient lugs with catches, and shorter terminal lugs without catches; the type-lever fits between the lugs, and is notched for engagement by the catches.
