Jackets and covers. - In a pneumatic tyre comprising an air-tube 7 and an outer cover consisting of short segments 1 with beaded edges 2, a flexible tubular cover 4 with overlapping edges 5 is placed between the air-tube and the outer cover, the edges 5 having rigid inextensible edges of larger diameter than the rim, so that the air pressure forces the beaded edges 2 into engagement with the rim flanges.
