Abstract

7138. Slee, R. G. March 22. Dispensing liquids. - Bottles containing aerated waters are provided with valves adapted to be operated when the bottle is placed on a stand so as to withdraw small quantities of liquid without loss of gas. The bottle A is inverted on a stand J provided with a block K operated by a hand-lever M, so as to press open a valve F' and deliver liquid by passages H and L. The valve F' is seated on a rubber pad C' and is kept closed by a spring G. The valve apparatus is held in a screw cap D provided with a stud I' which fits into a bayonet-joint in a cup portion I of the stand J. The latter is slightly hollowed at Q to catch drip.
