703. Martin, H., and Martin, T. Jan. 11. Stays.-Relates to stays for casement windows and doors which have to be raised before opening. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 3, the stay n is mounted on the lower end of the lifting-rod e and passes through a holding device n<1> on.the casement. In the modification shown in Figs. 6 and 7 the stay n<2> is hooked on to the frame at n<3> and one of the holes n<4> engages a pin n<5> on the casement when closed, while the other holes engage a pin n<6> on the casement when open.
