Abstract

684. Goldberg, L. Jan. 10. Lighting burners &c. by frictional devices.-Pyrophoric metal consists of from 10 to 90 per cent of manganese and from 90 to 10 per cent of antimony. Chromium up to 20 per cent, or titanium up to 15 per cent, may be added to the alloys, but in no case does the proportion of manganese or of titanium fall below 10 per cent.
