Arc-lamp electrodes. - Alloys applicable for making electrodes comprise zirconium and iron or an iron-group metal, the proportion of zirconium being preferably 40-90 per cent, or according to one example as low as 8.43 per cent. Titanium, aluminium, niobium, tantalum, or other metals may be added and the iron may be replaced by nickel, cobalt, or manganese, or mixtures thereof.
