Spikes, barbed and serrated.-A spike particularly adapted for use on railways has the shank 1 divided into two legs, the inner surfaces of which are formed into parts 10, 11, 12 of successively greater inclination, with shoulders 13, which may, however, be omitted. Notches 16 may be formed on the outer sides of the legs to facilitate bending in that direction.
