[Addition to 6452/09.] Cooling gases and liquids.-A rotor for apparatus for cooling air or water, or otherwise treating gases with liquids, is formed by winding around the central drum B metal sheets which are corrugated longitudinally, so that the corrugations run helically around the rotor instead of being parallel to the axis of the rotor as described in the parent Specification. The sheets may be formed with several shallow corrugations, or with a single groove as shown in Fig. 2. The sheets may be secured in position-by spacing-pieces b and bolts b<1>
