Brake mechanism. - In hand grips for the handle-bars of cycles &c. adapted for actuating Bowden or similar flexible transmission mechanism, an externally screw-threaded cap b mounted on the end of the handle-bar a engages an internally screw-threaded sleeve e mounted in the handle. The sleeve e and the outer covering g of the handle are secured by screws i to a ring h slidably mounted on the handlebar. The flexible wire n is connected to a cone u carried by a disk l, which is provided with guide-pins m passing through the end of the cap b. The brake is operated by rotating the handle.
