Folding mangles of the kind described in Specification 27,122<A>/05, in which the mangle is secured to one side of a tabletop A pivotally mounted on the framing G, are provided with gearing for the purpose of rotating the table and mangle from one position to the other. In the construction shown, a worm-wheel E is fixed to the spindle D secured to the lug c on the table-top, and is rotated by a worm F on a shaft provided with an operating - handle. Bevel, spiral, or spur gearing may be employed instead of worm gearing.
