Producer plant.-In a gas-producer plant, a partition extends through the passage leading from the generator, through the dust-collector, and through the passage leading to the scrubber, so that one part may be rendered inoperative for cleaning purposes without interrupting the working of the other part. In one construction, the inner wall of an annular chamber c around the upper part of the producer is provided with openings d and valves e, so that either half of the chamber c, and therefore of the dust-collector &c., may receive the gas produced, the corresponding valve e<1> being opened to allow the gas to pass to the scrubber.
